Hi Everyone! I am new to reefing, but not to salt tanks. I've had FOWLR tanks for the past 13 years, but decided to hop into the hobby by switching my (10+ year old) fully-cycled 36 cube into a reef tank. More like I'm dipping my toes into the water - a couple zoanthids and a goniapora… but hopefully I will 'grow' into it from there.
I'm running a small refugium & protein skimmer, adding NO-POX.
I do have some parameter questions for you experienced reefers: My water parameters are: 480 calcium, Dkh of 9....Is my alkalinity too high? (I' will be adding a few LPS/SPS; and have a mixed tank.)
Other params: too minimal to be measured on the ammonia/phosphates/nitrates/nitrites... pH of 8.2, Temp a constant 78.1. So, I should be set up for success. (Insert worried nervous laugh here.)

Thanks for the welcomes! I'm almost embarrassed to post a pic of my tank... It's a mess of a really old tank, a HOB fuge, an in-tank mini skimmer, re-cycled live rock from another tank, a couple ocellaris, and a Coral Reef Beauty Angel. (Yes, that is a gallon jar w/ a DIY kalk dripper up on top.)
The good news? I just grabbed a 20 gal long to build myself a sump.
