SureFLow 1600 MJ1200 Conversion Kit arived.

JUst got them from pro aquatics. Here are the first Pics. More to follow.
The bad thing is it doesnt come with the magnet mount, and the mount it comes with doesnt fit the MJ1200 bracet like it says it does. SO .. Im going to use super glue

mine will be here tomorrow, that sucks about the mounting bracket but i'll rig it somehow.

someone else in my club showed a little video of it working and it seemed to be pretty powerful.

Superglue works

Here it is in tank:

I have one at each end of my 55 , and its almost too much flow! almost everythign in my tank closed up for a few minutes because of the increased flow, everythign is back open now.

best 29 bucks I have spent in awile, I am glad I didnt drop 400+ on a couple korilas or tunzes

quite noisy. they emit a steady hummmm. I hope they will break in a bit and quiet down. Its not too bad. My fish hate them lol, they have no calm spots to sit in anymore.

yes. about 12 inches out from the front of it i can feel a wide flow all around my hand. at 6 inches I can feel a more direct jet. it is much nicer than the stock 1200's I can tell you that.

I cant compare it to the nicer ones, like tunzes , because I have never owned those.

I may try one just because the props that I make myself for the MJ Mods never turn out right.

I got mine, i put it together in about 5 seconds, and superglued the flexi shaft to the suction cup bracket for the stock mj 1200. It is in my 65 working well, nice wide flow and it is gentle for 1600gph.

i got two mj mods but i think that ball hing is the iceing on the cake. my goal now is to ditch the cup's. are you using them or did you happen to get the magents they have too?

i am using the ball thing, I superglued the ball apparatus to the mj mount w/ cups. I'm sure it will take a couple of incidents of finding the pump on my colonies to get the magnet.

i am almost willing to get one for the ball hing but the magnet cost is way up there.

I contacted premium aquatics about the super glue issue. They said that if I ordered the magnet they would waive the shipping fee. I am happy w/ that and think that is a fair option.
