Surface movement?

Wonder how much surface movement I need, it’s only a 14g tank, I don’t have a skimmer. no corals yet, going to be mainly LPS.

I have 1 mp10 on 30% it moves the water surface but I wouldn’t say it’s a lot, I can’t move the mp10 up higher for more movement as the pump starts to suck in the surface water and creates a vortex.
How much surface movement do I need and are there any signs to look for that would indicate I don’t have enough? I understand PH is one indicator, my PH is 8.15.

Unless you are having pH problems you are fine. I try to avoid any on mine other than my overflow because I hate the effects it does to lighting

Not much as long as there is some don’t chase ph numbers
