I want to explore a different approach to designing the scape of my 90º 90 gallon. The basic idea is to build a "mountain" of live rock off to one side, and an open "orchard" area on the other. Here is a rendering I created to help visualize. I thought about using tonga for the tree-like structures on the right side, but tonga is a little too thick. Is there anything else that comes to mind? I could mold my own, but I would like something natural.

The trunk rocks would be epoxied to star board or something similar. I would want to have a shallow send bed.

For the tree tops, I am open to suggestions. BTA or something similar perhaps, or GSP. Open to any ideas so fire away.

Thanks, Everyone. This is the look I am going for, which leads me to think the trunks will need to be manufactured (molded) which wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. A flat rock of GSP might do the trick for the tops.

Maybe chip/cut up dried mishroom coral for the canopy top?

Edit: epoxy to dried branch coral for the trunk?

you could do this with the product I used.

You'll probably be trimming it weekly unless you want the "tree tops" growing right down the "trunk" :p
Maybe frogspawn or hammer.
my experience, it depends on how much light is on the bottom side. I've had zero gsp growth on the bottom side of mine. (over a year)
