Thought I would share a short video of my 75 gallon tank. This is an upgrade from my 50 gallon cube; I transferred everything over about two months ago. A friend was taking down her 90 gallon and I took her bicolor angel, the midas blenny, the shrimp, and a few mushrooms. Everything else I already had. I'm pretty happy with how things are going, the new rock is starting to color up and the coral colors are good. Fish are all getting along and seem healthy. I wasn't happy with most of the rock in my old tank, so I only kept two better pieces and went with mostly new rock. I did seed the new rock for a month of so before doing the transfer.

Attempted to get a FTS today, has been four months since I dig the "big transfer." Having a bit of a diatom problem on the sand bed, and a teensy bit of GHA on the rocks, but nothing too scary. Yet.

Awesome pics tank looks really nice. Keep them pics coming.

Thank you SeahorseKeeper, and thank you mdbannister. I was excited to get the shot of the clownfish and the goby having a little property disagreement ;-)

Great looking tank and pictures.
Maybe some info and Pics of your filtration.

Rob D., mike007, and maroun c., thank you for commenting!

I guess I forgot to post any details about the tank when I started this thread. Nothing very exciting, I'm afraid.

Tank: Planet Aquarium 75 gallon (48" X 18" X 20") rimless with an external overflow. Bought used, already plumbed with dual durso drains and one return.
Sump: Eshopps Adv-200. Bought used along with tank.
Stand -ordered from my LFS.
Lighting - One old gen 1 Radion upgraded with wide angle TIR lenses.
Flow- Two MP10s
Skimmer - Aquamaxx EM-200
Return pump- Tunze Silence 1073.20
Heater- Eheim 150 wt
ATO - "DIY" kit with an Aqualifter pump, has served me perfectly for years.

I use Instant Ocean salt and do a 10% WC weekly. I dose Two Part and Mg daily. I have a ball of cheato and some rock rubble in a little fuge section in the sump, and I run carbon and Purigen just in bags.

I just purchased this sump to upgrade from basic wet/dry and a little confused on the set-up. Can you post some pics please. Looks like you have it set up well and tank looking great !!!

Thanks in advance, Maria

"Helps" not help, lol! That got away from me. Anyway, I have the skimmer in the biggest compartment, the return pump in the far right compartment that takes up one whole end, and the drain lines go into the narrow back compartment where I have a ball of cheato and a light. I used to have the drain lines going into the little compartment meant for them, but I got a lot of salt creep, plus the cheato didn't get enough flow. Putting the drain lines right into the fuge solved both problems.

THANK YOU !!!! I am going to make the transition next week. I found this sump setup so different with lots more room in the skimmer department for not only the skimmer but other equipment, not sure why more people don't seem to use it.

I like your idea of splitting the drain line so one goes into the fuge . . . will try that. Hoping the addition of the fuge will make everyone in my tank happier, my toadstool has been "angry" for the past week !!!

Very nice tank.

How's the bicolor act for you??

The bicolor is a model citizen :-) She had lived for many years in a friend's tank with no bad behavior, so I felt pretty safe putting her in my tank. I know she could start expanding her menu at any time, but for now she seems content with only eating food I put in there!
