Hope you all are having a happy weekend!

Now that I will be able to spend more time at home through the end of the year I decided that I should post an update to my problems in hope that I may get more feedback or that it may help someone else with similar problems.

Since my last post I have been dosing Tropic Marin Plus-NP as recommended on the bottle at a rate of .05ml/day, every day since Tuesday 12/15. I can't say that there has been any progress yet but there have been some changes. Before, I had a brownish - mat that was growing on the sandbed, glass and even on some of the rock in the tank - now, much of it has grown into long stringy looking things that flow in the current. I am not sure if this is normal and was hoping that someone may chime in with some info? Unless someone advises otherwise - I plan on removing as much of this as I can with a turkey baster sometime this weekend.

My 2 clowns, watchman goby, pistol shrimp and hermit crabs all seem to be fine and are eating normally still. There have been no signs of change with my snails though. They are still alive and I can observe them moving in/out occasionally but never actually move around the tank at all. I am pretty concerned, its been quite a while since I've seen normal behavior from the snails..

As far as my coral frags go - all my euphyllia seem to be alive but will not open/extend much or at all. Same with my zoas and GSP. The Duncans and Wilsoni seem to be doing the best through all this which is odd because they're not necessarily the most hardy coral out there. I guess I should just be glad that something still looks okay.

Water parameters are still holding and I have not been able to read any nitrates nor phosphates with my test kits yet. I will continue to dose the Plus-NP for now.
Please let me know if anyone has any questions, comments or wants to see more photos and I will by happy to get them posted on here. I really hope I am able to make progress before the year is over, its saddening to see the tank like it is ;Sorry

Not sure if those are diatoms. Stringy can be a bad sign. Lots of threads on how to ID. Important to make sure you're fighting the right problem.
