Suspected Velvet treatment advise

I have a Blonde Naso that I recently got in. He looks very healthy physically (not a mark on him). He has not been a great eater since I got him ( about a week ago). He picks at nori sheets but basically ignores anything else in the tank ( I have fed several types of pellets including seaweed extreme, LRS Fish Frenzy, and Frozen Mysis).I soak all food in Garlic Power and Selcon during QT.

This was up until yesterday when I noticed the tell-tale sign of the fish swimming in front of the powerhead. Now I know this is not a 100% diagnosis but that seems to be a pretty clear sign, especially since he has been showing decreased appetite since he came in. Also I would not like to take any chances.

This fish was in "Observation" so thank god for proper QT procedures. He came in with several other fish so everyone is now in a 55 gallon hospital tank that I keep up. I am slowly increasing copper power to the 1.5 min. I pulled the Naso out yesterday and freshwater dipped him just to hopefully buy myself some time. I read that you should increase the copper very slowly but since velvet is a quick mover you can shorten that length a bit to get to therapeutic levels faster.

So outside of what I am doing (bringing copper up to 1.5 over 3 days) is there anything else I should try to hopefully get through this? I have never dealt with a suspected Velvet case before.

If you believe you have velvet in your tank and the Naso is already in front of a powerhead (helping him breathe) I would ramp up to. 1.75 over 24-36 hours. I say 1.75 because if you dip below 1.5 even for an hour you restart the clock on your copper treatment. If it were me I would do a FW dip on the Naso to give him some temporary relief while you ramp up the copper. I would also recommend the Hanna checker it makes keeping copper where you want it a lot easier.

I have FW dipped him. I did that as soon as I suspected velvet. I plan to get up to 1.75 copper I just wanted to hit that 1.5 min as fast as possible without killing everyone. Once I hit 1.5 I can go slower to hit 1.75. I do test with Hanna as well.

Sounds like I am on the right track at least. I have read and re-read everything @Humblefish has in his post about velvet. I am going to try and find some Ruby Reef Rally after work today and give the naso a bath in that. My primary concern right now is his lack of appetite. I have not seen him really eat much since I got him. Picking at algae sheets here and there does not seem like it can sustain him.

As a side note I have a 40b sterilized and I will set it up tonight as a clean tank for everyone to go into once I hit 14 days at therapeutic copper.

90 minute bath in Reef Rally went well tonight. Naso did not seem terribly stressed by it so that is good.

Hopefully I can get him eating soon. Copper is up to .80 currently. I will continue to bring it up to 1.75 by Monday at the latest. So far the rest of the fish seem fine. The Kole tang is acting a bit skittish but but is still eating.
