Hi I'm Joe, from Idaho.
I recently started SW (1 year ago), had a fluval spec 5 that I drilled and built a stand around. Plumbed a 20g tall homemade sump and protein skimmer with a deep sand bed and little fuge. It was really cool. Had a 36 bulb 3watt each full spectrum led over it and grew sps. Got tired of just 1 goby and ended up with a 92g corner tank with 20g sump and swc 250 protein skimmer about 4 months ago. Also came with 2 36" orbit marine leds!

It was running with fish so cycling was a fast 2 day mini cycle due to all the garbage stirred up in the tank move. Everything stabilized, added an anthias 3 weeks later and bang almost everyone died of white spot. So now I have a very nice 23g copper qt tank... I used to keep African cichlids and overstocked on purpose. Not sure what my stocking level is like right now for a SW reef tank.
1 melanurus 1 yellow fin fairy 1 blue streak cleaner 1 yellow coris wrasse 1 chalk bass 1 Picasso clown 1 blue line tang and 4 nemurus chromis. Would like to add a dwarf angel or longnose butterfly (or both!?). Thoughts?
Also have various hermits peppermints and a cleaner shrimp. Thanks!!

Welcome!!! I would be careful adding any dwarf Angels, chances are they will nip at "fleshy" corals. The long nose butterfly really needs a very established tank and can be very tough to keep. I think you can add a few more small fish. Maybe look at some gobys or blennys or possibly some anthias.

Thank you, I personally don't like the wall of rock stacked against the glass look, went for a nice lagoon look here and from the hallway you can see in one of the back panels and there are corals on the backside. Lots of room for that branching pocillopora which is growing extremely fast. I've been thinking about catching the chalk bass and getting a few more maybe 4 or 5 and reintroducing them all together instead of the butterfly or dwarf angel. And I have been on the lookout for a nice blenny or goby. I like the midas blenny. I had a huge starry from the previous owner but he ended up down in the sump and I haven't seen him for some time

Also finally finished my all male hap/peacock Malawi cichlid tank tear down so I have 2 more power heads to throw in there

*Welcome to Reef2Reef @wrasseman_joe !* Sweet upgrade. It is so nice to have a QT at your disposal too! Stocking levels for a saltwater aquarium is going to be significantly less than a fresh or African tank.Definitely research your fish selections carefully as compatibility is far more complicated in the saltwater world!
