I bought a pair. Now the male is losing its stripes. Looking female. Will he change back? I spent a lot of money getting a pair

Females turn to male. I don't think they go male to female.
Maybe just getting older?

I plan on getting 2 females and waiting for one to turn to male.

I didn't say you have an old fish.
I'm just saying maybe getting older and changing it's stripes.
I'm absolutely guessing though.
I do know females change to males. Nothing I have read say they can change back to females. I don't think they do.

I understood what you were saying, just joking with you. I don't know what's going on but the stripes are there but really faint. Thank you for your response. This is something new to me.
