Hi all, I've got a skimmer in just now from AliExpress, the Bubble Magus Curve A3. I'm in US and this unit came with a 220v PSU.

Here's a pic of the original PSU:

And here's the one that just arrived from eBay:

On the right side in the above pic, you can see the cable from the original PSU. No grounding wire.

Just making sure there's no danger in wiring up the new PSU to the black and red wires and just leaving the green detached?

From what I recall, it's less safe to not have a ground wire, but not necessarily dangerous.

There isn't anything about PSUs like the one I got her for US that have a grounding wire that must be connected or they then become dangerous is there? I can't imagine, but I'm not an electrician and this stuff is serous so I want to ask here.

Lots of guys in AliExpress reviews for these skimmers from around the world report success just providing a 110v PSU from a local supplier, so I know it can be done. But again, want to get the opinion of others before playing with potentially dangerous mods.

I have of course installed a GFCI on the mains outlet that will power my system.

Thanks.

Is the red, black and green wire cable on the input or output of the PSU? I can't read the printing on the PSU.

Why not just use the original PSU as the output 24V DC is the same?

The red, black and green wire cable is on the output of the new PSU, which is 100 - 240v input.

The original PSU is only 220v input. You know, Asia and Europe style.

Ok thanks. I did it. Seems to work well.
