Swayds Bowfront Madness

HUGE MISTAKE!
I forgot to check the salinity of the water I got. From my Lfs the other day and went ahead and did a 10g water change and just about killed half my coral.

My salinity was at 1.025 and dropped to 1.020 after the wc.
Im So disappointed in myself and am now trying to slowly raise it to 1.023 by the end of this weekend!

Never buying water from an Lfs again, now let the mixing begin!

So, birdsnest, and a couple other acros are on their way back, but the German blue polyp digitata looks completely dead :-(. Everything else is starting to show some more polyp extension, so Hopefully most of them come back.

Also, I finally ordered a new heater and got myself a eheim jager 200w, some salt, a couple power heads and a 16g tub to mix some saltwater.

So I'm shutting this tank down for the move in the near future...
I will be transferring coral to my 20H frag tank slowly over the next eek or two. I was thinking like 1-2 coral a day.
Already sold stuff I have frags of now it's just time to transfer and add the existing sump to my 20H.

I am planning an almost complete DIY build though thinking shallow cube in the 36" ballpark. :nerd:

Sorry to hear about the issues!

No worries. It's actually not that bad ALL of my coral are actually coming back and doing good except for one of my digitatas.
Main reason for shutting down is just thinking ahead for when I move in the next two months. Plus, I've been wanting to upgrade for a while now.
