I Just got my skimmer on Friday from the group buy. Luke at Reef Filtration was great to deal with and shipped it out the same day I payed and It was on my door step 2 days later!!!

This is my first skimmer so I dont have much experience and so far is been doing great. The pump restarts every time and is dead silent. After 48 hrs I have almost a Liter of skimmate.

Its still breaking in and the skimmates a little wet for my tastes.

For the skimmer pros!!! How do I dial it in for a dryer skimmate? and are my bubbles breaking at the right area or should I adjust it so the foam is level with the top of the neck? Also is it just wet becouse its still breaking in or am I doing something wrong?

Glad everything got there safely. As far as skimmate goes you'll just have to adjust slowly until you get your desired color your looking for. When first breaking in the skimmer set the water level internally at the bottom of the neck. Keep the air wide open. It will take a few days for it to break in. Also if its a new tank or there isn't much of a bioload don't expect thick nasty sludge from the get go. It takes time to build up the good sludge! And the more you mess with it the longer it'll take to break in.

Ok what part of the skimmer is the neck? as was for the water lever you mean where A & B meet?

Is the salt content of the skimmate the same as my tank? Its pulled out so much Im worried my ato is putting to much RO water back in

Thanks for the help luke

While breaking in run the water level at the bottom of the neck - the gray line in drawing:

If you skim really wet, you can potentially lower your specific gravity (because the ATO is replenishing with fresh water). Keep an eye on your SG and adjust as necessary.

Thanks Stun! And if its still to wet at that point, lower the water level even more.
