I had a quick question about the large O-ring that goes on the impeller/pump of the SWC300. I opened up the pump last night to clean it because it was performing poorly (been amazing up until recently). The O-ring looks like it unseated somehow, and got pinched and stretched. So I need to get a new one. Any suggestions on where? Based on other parts of this skimmer, like the odd size of the PVC, and the fact that the pump has metric allen head screws, I'm concerned I won't be able to simply walk into Home Depot and pick up a properly sized new O-ring.

Thanks for any help/suggestions.

Peter

I sell o-rings at work. If you get me the size I can send you one or two.
What's the proper way to determine the size of an o-ring needed? I have the original, but because it's been stretched, I can't just measure it's diameter. I also lack calipers to determine the thickness :o

It's hard to get a correct measurement on o rings once they e stretched. If you contact the skimmer manufacture they should be able to tell you the correct size.

Thanks. I got the o-ring locally, but the pump still won't work :help:

Does the motor engage when you plug it in? Can you feel it in the housing?
Are you able to turn the impeller by hand when its just sitting in the housing without the front cap on?
