Sweeping tentacles on a Millepora

Do milleporas have sweeping stinging tentacles? I have a Millepora that has these micro filament tentacles that extend an inch or two from the crown of each branch. It's definitely not the normal hairy polyp extension. The tentacle anchors onto a neighboring undata with no problems and releases. Any idea if these are stingers or just feeders?

I have never seen one that long before, but the ends of mine do have some long tenticles at night.

That looks like stress to me.
