After 3 days of silicone-ing sump is done! On to plumbing ladies and gentlemen! Not bad for.my first sump build, at least in my opinion. But what do I know, the is my first try at a salt water tank.

Side question:

Should I setup a QT tank and add fish to that before the diplay tank? My plan is to start with fish and the bacteria sealed man made live rock. This recommended by my LFS. Then move into corals...slowly.....

Always qt first. Much easier to watch and medicate in qt than to have to catch them from the display. and don't forget to let that silicone cure.☺

Be sure and let that silicone for at least a week before you use it.

Qt'ing is always a good idea!

Thanks guys, yes I don't plan on putting water into DT for at minimum another 1 to 2 weeks. How long generally should I let the pvc cement cure for before use?

Sounds like the next action item is to start the QT tank up to allow for cycling.
