For a variety of reasons, not least of which is to use one dose instead of three, I’m consider switching from Aquaforest 1+2+3+ to All For Reef for my daily dosing.

Anything I should be aware of or concerned by in making this switch?

@Lou Ekus - curious to hear from you on this. One thing of note, I do run an Alkatronic which currently doses AF 2+ when alk gets low. Any thoughts on All for Reef and the Alkatronic?

I think I answered you in an email you sent to me. But if that is not correct, here is what I said in the email:

Switching should be relatively easy. Stop using your AF and start using the All-For-Reef. In your case in particular, I would use the Ca concentration value to regulate the AFR dosage amount. Keep you Ca in your desired range by increasing or decreasing your AFR dose. Then, if you notice that your alkalinity is not keeping up, this is likely to happen most during the first few days of AFR usage, then use some bicarbonate to keep up with the alkalinity demand. I don’t know what is in the Aquaforest alkalinity product, so I always recommend using our Tropic Marin Balling Part B for that. You sill probably notice that after a few days, the alkalinity is being kept steady by the AFR dose. But if you find it is consistently low, then using your Alkatronic, with some bicarbonate should work fine to maintain it. But as I said, you may find, in the ling run, that you don’t need that.
