I currently have a biocube32 that has the stock led hood and I added 2 led21 reef bars.

I am removing the hood and adding a kessil 360x. With the change in light should I be setting this up in acclimation mode or should I be doing something with a higher intensity to start off with?

I would definitely acclimate. Start low and only increase maybe 5% a week. Kessil are very strong lights and it takes coral time to react.

Great thank you
Any chance you wanna throw some insight on 8” or 12” from the top?

I’m gonna be using the kessil a mount arm.

If you have a par meter this would be the best way to determine starting lvl, then start a little lower and acclimate to desired range. Mounting height will require you to see how much light is spilling outside the tank if any I think most advise the 360s to be 8" above water surface. Will that cover the tank wall to wall? if not raise it until it does.

Edit- by lower I mean from your current levels.
