Anyone happen to know how much stronger the Red Sea Foundation ABC is compared to the old BRS Soda Ash and Calcium Chloride? Currently I'm dosing 27ml/day of RS Alk and 11ml/day of RS Ca. I still have a bit of the old BRS that's still good and powdery and would like to use it up before switching to the New Pharma BRS stuff. Nothing wrong with the Red Sea other than Id like to cut costs where I can and I'm just about out of it.

Was is your daily drop of alk and cal, you can use their calculator to get close and then tweak as needed.

Don't really pay attention to the actual drop as to more of the chemical usage. Currently I'm dosing 27ml/day of RS Alk and 11ml/day of RS Ca.

I'm not sure if that is possible because of the chemical makeup being different. Someone may having figured out how to do a conversion.

I can test it daily but I want to start off somewhere first so I don’t have a big dip or spike in my Alk and Ca.

BRS is 1,900 meq/L of alkalinity (5,300 dKH).

Red Sea’s Foundation B (ALK) will raise
the alkalinity of 25/g by 0.036 meq/l (0.1dKH) for every 1 ML.

There’s a start for you...now you just need a math brain to calculate it out.
