Hey all

So I am switching from two Little Fishes A & B 2 part Calc and Alk to bulk chems: Calcium Chloride & Sodium carbonate. Wondering what others have done to monitor the switch and what I should be aware of as changes and such?

Running mixed reef. Current Alk is around 9-10 and Calc around 420-450

Thank you

There's nothing special to be aware of except to make sure you adjust doses to meet the alkalinity demand, and I recommend that you dose all three parts (calcium, alkalinity and magnesium) as described in the recipe until over the long term you may determine slightly different dosing ratios are better in your system. The magnesium part does more than just add magnesium (it also keeps the chloride/sulfate balance), so don't not dose it just because you are happy with your magnesium level.

Sounds great, I will also add the Mag then as well. Thank you!
