I have a 90 gallon tank using the aqueon internal overflow and am considering changing to the synergy reef overflow or the model that @TaylorPilot is making. Is there a reliable method to seal the holes in the bottom of the tank?

Kind of cool thought. Problem is if that bulkhead seal leaks, you have to drain the entire tank. That would not be fun. Better off sealing it up with a piece of glass.Or place small piece of pvc with a strainer into a bulkhead so that it is an inch or so above the sand bed. Then camoflauge it. This way way you have an easy way to drain the tank from the bottom. Might even be able to use for water change???
