I've decided to feed mysis shrimp to my fish instead of pellets. They love it and I've read it doesn't dirty the water as much as pellets. Since pellets are way more nutrient dense, should I feed more and/or more often with the mysis?

IMO, no. feed healthfully and then look at the numbers for the coral. I still feed other foods for rounded nutrition.

I don't have coral yet but I get your point. So feed what they'll eat in a few minutes? I think the Midas Blenny is supposed to eat twice daily. But are the clownfish, pajama cardinals and Royal Gramma ok with once? I guess it's a silly question because they won't know the second feeding is only for Benny the Blenny

Lol. Yea I think it's fine. My tanks eat one a day. Mine are mostly bug eaters in the 55, the clowns in 30g are pretty fat and lay eggs a lot.
I don't know much about the PJs. So hopefully others chime in

So twice a day is ok? I know the shrimp are lower in Phosphates than pellets. My Phosphates stay at 0-ish most of the time because I run GFO. Part of the reason for the switch is to (hopefully) lower nitrates. They're down to 20ppm since the cycle a few months ago (they were at 80ppm after the cycle) after several big water changes. I'd like to keep them between 10-20. Right now it's fowlr but will eventually be an LPS/softie tank. I've read they do better with some nitrates.

I never fed pellets but as far as the frozen go you'll just have to play it by ear. Feed a couple cubes then watch for how much goes uneaten and pull it back from there. My tank eats "twice" a day but I put the cubes in my sump so that it is sent to my display tank a little at a time

I also just feed once a day....whether I am feeding pellets or mysis. IMO, I would just start including mysis rather than totally switching over. The more different foods you are feeding, the better.
