Just installed a new algae scrubber on my RSR 250 that I've been running a chaeto reactor on. My thought process is that if I keep the reactor going during the break in period it probably wont break in or take forever to do so. Is my thought correct that I should stop running the reactor to allow the break in to occur and deal with the excess nutrients for a few weeks? Thanks for any assistance!

I say. Run both. While the screen is getting spores built up you still need to export nutrients. Its 2 different types of algae. If you see numbers dropping fast then make the hand off.

That was the initial plan till I started overthinking it. Thank you!!
