I was just wondering if there’s any issues with switching over to ESV cal,alk and mag. The tank is going so good and no issues I would hate to make one. My dosing amounts are getting up there so Red Sea was fine when I was using small amounts but now it’s getting expensive. ESV is way cheaper and I’ve heard good things

I use esv 2 part and am going to a calcium reactor soon.
I dont think it would be an issue but with the looks of your tank I would not change a thing.
How much are we talking for a $ savings say per month?

The Red Sea 1000ml bottle last me about 11 days. I could buy a big jug of the esv for what I pay for the 1000ml. I’m just scared of changing product when the tank hasn’t had any issues if a long time.

My 120 is 5 months old. I dose 45ml a day but it goes up each week. So at 45ml I get 84 days.
You are dosing 90ml a day based on your 11 day usage.
With esv you get 42 days with the 1 gallon jugs of part 1&2. So its alot less in costs.
Thats saying that red sea and esv are the same concetration. You would have to check. There is a thread somewhere with the concentrations of various brands of 2 part.

Here is the link. It does not say how much red sea is though. Maybe red sea will give an answer?
