I've been running the Triton method since I started my tank, but I think I'm done with it. I don't have a problem with the basic methodology or philosophy behind it.

What I have a problem with is that liquid 3b is really prone to crystallization in the hose, leading to a blockage that prevents dosing and is a giant PITA to clean. I've had it happen twice now, and both times it's led to pretty impressive drops in alkalinity. I have a heater in the dosing chamber to prevent the lower temperatures that seem to cause the crystallization, but it still happens in the hoses.

I'm thinking of ATI Essentials for a replacement. I prefer their ICP test anyhow over the Triton ones; for anyone who's been dosing these, how have you been enjoying it? Does it have a tendency to crystallize at low temperatures? Anything you don't like about ATI's supplements?

I have read many members having this issue when water is splashing onto their dosing lines, it is often remedied by raising the lines so that water cannot splash up onto them.

See this post.

They are elevated above the water, and the part of my sump that splashes is covered. My house doesn't have any kind of thermostat-controlled heating, so when it gets colder the air itself is cold enough to cause crystallization - seems to happen in the mid-60s, which can happen any time of the year in the Puget Sound.

Bumping... anyone have any experience with ATI Essentials? Or any other replacement for Triton?

I'm dosing ATI Essential Pro for a couple of month now and I like it. I was dosing 3ml of each bottle a day keeping my alk @ 8.9dkh. I have the BRS dosing pumps but was dropping more than 1ml per minute, around 5ml so I adjust the timer and only dose 2 minutes that is about 3ml keeping Alk stable at 8.9-9.0 dkh. Corals are doing great and growing.

Very easy to use, having success with my corals. I have to make small adjustments to the dosing weekly but nothing crazy. I run a refugium so some trace elements run low on my ICP tests. I just started doing monthly water changes

Late to the party been using it for over a year and pretty happy with essentials. Zero water changes btw.

I do the same, Monthly water changes for trace elements. I know there is a new system for Maintaining nutrients but I don't know how to switch from the refugium over
