Switching HOB Filter for Pico

I have a 3 gallon JBJ Picotope and have been using the stock HOB filter that came with it. It's been ok, but I'm wanting to get a little better water movement, so I got a AquaClear HOB filter to replace it.

My question is: will there be any issue when I change the filter out? The AquaClear has a little media basket with ceramic, carbon, and a new sponge, so I wasnt sure if introducting all that new stuff at once would cause a mini cycle or some other negative effect.

You should be fine. If you have some media from the old filter(even the carbon) you can use that as seed. You may also want to add some bottled bacteria just for assurance.
