Switching Salt Mixes in Quarantine Tank?

so I need to do a water change in my quarantine tank and I'm running low on my Tropic Marin Pro Reef salt, I've ordered some more but it won't be here till later this week. I do however have quite a bit of Red Sea's Coral Pro Salt. Can I safely do a water change in my quarantine tank with this salt? The volume of the tank is 40 gallons and I was going to do 20-30 gallon water change.

Sure, changing salt brands won't have any effect on fish (just in some reef tanks it might). You just need to ensure you are doing the water change properly - that's more than a 50% change, so you need to be sure the mix has aerated well before use to stabilize the pH.

That’s expensive QT salt. I keep instant ocean on hand specifically for QT tanks. Then just keep SG, temp and pH same as display so easy transfer when fish is ready.
