I am currently running the blue bucket from Red Sea and I want to switch to the black one (I found out that the blue is mainly for SPS dominate and my tank is LPS/Soft dominate). Do I have anything to worry about after switching from one type to the other? Any tips to introduce the new salt into the aquarium?

You shouldn't have any problems. I would just start doing my weekly water changes with the new salt.

Blue bucket has lower levels of alk as I recall. It's like Reef Crystals vs Instant Ocean.

If you don't dose and have a mixed tank, or to be more blunt not a tank full of Acropora the black bucket should be your choice.

I personally do not buy any of the marketing hype that a particular salt mix is more suited to particular types of aquaria, or to particular types of supplement systems.

I do agree that if you are trying to not dose, then you certainly will need a high alk high calcium mix.
