Looking for opinions on what to get to switch from 8 t5 and 3 250w HQI MH bulbs to LED only. Majority of my tank is SPS and some chalices. It is a 180g bow front tank and the fixture i have now is a current outer orbit fixture. All suggestions are appreciated and I am not looking for DIY but want dimmable and fairly easy to use.
Thanks

Radion or aqua illumination sols, i personally like the AI but the radion is pretty sick too. Also there is DIY led kits which would bring down cost on a lighting system.

How many do you think i would need? I want good coverage for all of the tank and growth as well.

whats your dimensions. my tank is a 90 gallon 48" long and i have three Ai sols and it does a great job. i think each unit covers about 24" square area, but i went with the extra one to get good coverage.

Radion, Apollo, or Kessil. I have all three and they are all marvelous in their own ways. Radions are very well rounded. Apollos are super, but require apex to function. Kessils are fantastic as well but not currently controlable until the A350s are released. Believe it or not, I personally get the best growth under my Kessils. Others may have differing results. Being that I personally own all of the products I have listed, I can honestly say that they are very good prospects for your tank. In my experience, I have owned 2 series of AI sols and have had very poor coral growth with them. Again, that is my personal instance. I have known them to work well for others. In conclusion, my option for you would be this,... If you have apex and dimmer, go with apollos because they are fantastic lighting systems with a great spectrum promoting healthy coral growth. If you do not have apex controller, I would go with the ecotech radions. They are a slight more expensive, but will have similar results compared to the apollos. The Kessils on the other hand are great lights options, but have no controlability until the A350 s are released on the retail market, but even then, your controllable options are limited. It is a tough decision, and I probably didn't help much, but hopefully I was able to narrow your choices a slight. Let me know what you end up with, I am interested in what you will end up with.
