Im switching tanks and the new one isnt ready yes, Im redoing the overflow, repainting back and resealing corners. I already sold my other tank and it is now gone as of yesterday.

How long can I leave my two clownfish and 4-5 of my corals in my sump without filtration? I have the lights still going as before, heater and two wave makers going. I'm not done with the project but plan to be done in the next 2 days. Any issues with this?

I would not think so, but how big is your sump?
Sounds like you don't have a choice anyway....

I mean I definitely do not have a choice but just wondering If I should worry. The sump is about 17 gal, never been used yet so clean as a whistle. Nothing in it but the fish and one medium sized rock with the corals on it.

Just run a small power head where the return pump was with a hose running to where your return lines would go. Your filter and live stock will be ok.

I would place as much of your rock from the old tank in order to keep it alive.
Thats my other question. I have all my rocks in different bins with the water I was using with either power heads or a return pump to keep water moving. Is this okay to put back in once its ready?

Yup. I have about 120lbs in 2 brute cans with heaters and powerheads. Most of it has been there for about 2 months since breaking down my 200g. It will be going in 2 builds that are currently in the works. I just throw some fish food in every few days to keep the bacteria happy.

How important is the heater part? I dont have enough heaters for all the bins Im using.

Thanks everyone I think I feel reassured about everything. I'll just watch ammonia and do water changes Until its up and running!

Make sure your silicone is 110% cured.
Even aquarium safe silicone if uncured can be problematic. IMO.

Im definitely going to wait more than 24 hours before water testing. Thanks for the tip tho!
