Ok, so I've got a 20l with 2 clowns and a frozen eating mandarin. I am upgrading to a 90 gallon. My question is, since the rock in the 20 gallon is already supporting the fish, can I place it and the fish into the 90 with 60 more lbs of dry rock and everyone be ok? Like, would the tank still cycle a lot, or just a mini cycle? Thank

You'll likely experience a mini cycle. But shouldnt be to bad as long as you dont increase livestock until the new rock has time to establish itself :)

There is nothing quick when it comes to saltwater. Follow the same rules of a new tank and expect as Crabs stated, the uglies, cycling events and transform gradually. A couple pieces of seeded rock mixed in will not hurt

Add some Dr Tim's if you're in a rush. Give it a few days before adding fish though. Better to not rush things.

Agree, or a bottle of instant ocean bio spira, that stuff works wonders

I’d fully cycle the new tank before adding the live stock, but that’s just me. You could cycle it with a couple live rocks.
