Switching to BRS two part from Kalkwasser

If I am doing my math right I am dosing 3360ml of kalk a day, around .8 gallons. Mixing kalk is getting a bit tedious from our schedules getting busier. If I switch to two part from BRS I am guessing I can slow down the mixing because it is more concentrated? Do I need to get a start kit with the mixing jugs or will the 7lb bags be more economical? How many ML a day? My tank is 60 gallons with about 12 gallons of sump.

POST EDIT: I am mixing around 1.5 tsp or 2 tsp of kalk per gallon right now

Maybe I am not doing it right but the calculator does not seem to take one thing into consideration which is maintenance. You plug in your starting level and ending level, well lets say I am at 450 calcium and just want to maintain that, there is no way to measure. That is why I gave up on that calculator.

You have to know how much your tank consumes to figure out how much to dose. You measure alk on day one. Three days later of no dosing you measure again at the same time. Divide by three and that is how much Alk your tank goes through a day. Use the calculator on BRS to figure out how to dose from that number. Try dosing equal amounts of calcium in the beginning.
I am not sure of how to dose both Kalk and 2 part.

I started using the BRS 2 Part about a month ago. Simple to apply with their calculator as lppyroy stated above.
I test Alk and PH every day and dose accordingly.

I use BRS 2 part. Mixing the stuff is pretty easy: 2.5 cups of calcium chloride into a gallon jug of RODI. For ALK, it is 2.5 cups of soda ash into a gallon jug of RODI, I buy the 7 lb mix. A bag will last a long time. I have the magnesium mix also (it is really 3 part but for some reason is called 2 part). However, magnesium consumption is far lower than calcium and ALK. I find that my magnesium levels are kept level just by water changes so I don’t even mess with it.

If you have an idea of how much DKH your tank consumes per day or week or whatever, you can go to the BRS website and plug in the numbers for 2 part to see how much you would use per unit time.

From my reading, a tank with a high consumption really is impractical with KALC. So I would think that switching to 2 part would work. If you need to dose multiple times per day, you can always automate it with a doser.

It is easy to figure a starting dose for the two part using a calculator. Just match up the amount of alk added by your limewater (kalkwasser) additions, and see how much two part is needed.
