Switching to Coral Pro and RCP

I’m switching from NSW levels (Trop Marine then IO) to Red Sea Coral Pro with plans to use the RCP (mixed) in a newly cycled tank (no fish or corals yet). I want to dose my way up to RCP-mixed levels (following the RCP guidelines and products) so I can start at the recommended place and go from there? Is that nuts (probably) and/or harmful to the tank and soon to be place livestock?

After two 75% water changes with CP the Alk/Ca/Mag are still not at the “right” (I know this is super debatable) levels. I understand that the couple of fish and few frags I add first don’t need those levels right away (if ever).....I can just see a frustrating dance of partial water changes as I try to get to the levels I (and the RCP) want. A 100% change would work of course but it’s hard (impossible?) to get every drop out of the tank.

What are your target levels, what is the tank now, and what is the new salt water?

Water changes generally aren't the best way to raise levels, but if you are not measuring the new salt water, maybe it will be impossible.
