Switching to rodi. Do I need more light as well?

I have a 40g breeder with a 10g sump. I have used tap water until now as i didn't realize how important it was. So i am planning on doing a 100% water change using rodi water. I am wondering if that is going to increase the growth of my corals and if it will be able to grow coralline algae? I haven't really lost many corals and they look relatively healthy besides my zoas, but they never really grew a lot. I also have never managed to grow any coralline algae. Another question i have is whether switching to rodi water will give me the ability to grow coralline algae and improve my coral growth or do i also need to increase the amount of light,etc?

Start with 20% water changes weekly for a few weeks with the rodi saltwater mix practice husbandry you will start seeing growth over time usually about a year once you get a nice maintenance routine going and have nice stability

how long has tank been running while using tap water mix?

what are you current parameters?

coralline algae will start growing when you have stability in tank

corals grow with stability

each coral have different lighting requirements so it all depends on the type of coral your trying to grow
