Does anyone have experience with Symphillia Wilsoni and how to keep them? I made an impulse buy when WWC had a sale and it's a gorgeous coral but it's tissue seems to be dying very slowly? Still has plenty of color. I've had it for like 2-3 weeks now but I have noticed that it seems to be declining. What parameters/lighting/flow/placement is ideal for these guys? I'd hate to lose it.

What are your current parameters, light, and placement

Temp 78
Salinity .0126
Alk 7.6
Cal 389
NO3 0
PO4 .02
pH 7.8 (might need calibration)

Your calcium is a bit low but Im not sure thats the cause, do you test weekly? What are your params a week ago. Also where is it placed and how much light and flow is it getting?

I just recently added corals to my tank so I've only been testing NO3 & PO4 up until now. Alk was at 8 the last time I tested like 2 weeks ago though. Doing a water change as we speak as well. I use Red Sea blue bucket.

You definitely want to keep params stable 8-7.6 is probably not too bad but keeping things stable is good for reef tanks, where is the coral placed?

Sand bed near the front. Around 120 PAR.

Try to move it out of direct light and see what happens
