Hello all the pro’s out there can anyone let me know from experience if my symphyllia is expanding to make more mouths? I’m treading with not much experience with that coral.

Honestly can't tell if it's an A. Pachysepta or a Lobophyllia of some sort. Should have the same care though, @encrustingacro?

It's an Acanthastrea pachysepta

@PlumberTwo also Symphyllia was reclassified to Lobophyllia in 2016

The polyps will split/divide

Though my "traditional Lobophyllia" actually grew a new polyp off the side without splitting
