Now that Ive researched it more I guess it is.....it just seems so tiny in polyp structure compared to mine......
This one is a Lobo, a very nice one though.

to many pics that look the same as his listed as symphyllia on google images
although there allot of ppl listing lobomussa as symphyllia?
like trying to id my coral know one really knows until it grows up.
I argued with ppl for a year + that mine wasnt "favia" now you can clearly see it isnt a reverse prizm and no one that I argued with me is saying anything on all 3 sites I had it listed on for id! lol
now all I need is a fancy name

Identifying Symphyllia Wilsoni can be challenging for even the most knowledgeable reefer. The highly variable morphology of this species
contributes to its frequent misidentification. The general physical characteristics of Symphyllia Wilsoni are common to the entire species.
However, there are two main variants currently found in the trade. The southern variants of Symphyllia Wilsoni have meandering corallites
with pronounced ridges and deep valleys. In addition, the colony shape of the southern variants is noticeably flat. The northern variants
have a domed shape with a softer, fluffier appearance. The corallite shape can range from oblong to nearly circular, often giving them the
appearance of an enlarged Acanthastrea Lordhowensis. (from Reef Hobbiest mag. 2009)
Definitely a Wilsoni - northern variant - amazing how much it has changed - that third pic has acan written all over it.

That one is amazing.....mine may not be symphyllia wilsoni but it could be of the symphyllia family but a different species...perhaps

OK, found my pic's. Yours could be an Agraicia but I'm still thinking Lobo. Ether way it is a SCHAWEET LPS, that I wouldn't mind calling mine:wink:

here is one I picked up a few years back when they first hit the market and no one knew what they were...
and here is another one I picked up from Ian a while back ago also...man I wish I still had this one!
and marinereefer I think that one you posted is a symphyllia...or a type of lobo, I had one just like it...yours is very nice!
