Sympicotic 4.5G Cube

Hey SD, thanks for the kind words. Thats definitely what I'm going for. Got a pistol goby combo, couple sexy shrimp and a rock nem. May add a couple tank bred neon gobies.

So it's pretty much done and for the most part I'm happy with it. Messed up a couple parts including one of the teeth breaking off. If it looks a little amateurish, guess what?

Was that you or Mitch using the table saw bare foot?

Great looking build!

Lol! That was Mitch, but what you have to understand about Mitch is that he's crazy;)
Thanks for the compliments!

I am a little concerned about mad bubbles. I waited 24 hours and went over every seam again with weld on. Waited another 24 and now am doing the test.

This is the partition in the chamber so not that concerned, but its a good pic of the type of bubbles I see in some of the other joints

The edges were pretty smooth. I would attribute this to being my first time working with acrylic. I guess its lucky its only 6 gallons but i do wonder about the structural integrity..

The bubbles are pretty common. I wouldn't worry too much about it. The weld-on basically "melts" the acrylic together.

Gotcha thanks for easing my mind a bit. Worried cause this is going in my office. May get in hot water for pouring water everywhere lol.

Got an inch or two of Tropic Eden reef/mini flake sitting in it. Making a tunnel system for my goby/pistol combo. Helped my friend set up his new tank and he gave me a perfect led that he wasn't needing that I can use for my macro refugium. JBJ something or other. Should be perfect! Pics to come.

So my coral list is pretty much set. I'll start with what I have pics of. Have these chilling in my 90 reef till the pico is ready.
Random zoas and a pretty sweet favia I got from Zman

Thanks Luke! For the right type of person, that place is like heaven.

Alright finally got this set up. Thought I would post some shots.
Built a little home for the pistol shrimp and goby. Ended up putting some acrylic glue and sand on the top to help hide it.

All animals hidden;) Really happy with how the shelf turned out. Looks like it's floating in place.

Great idea with the PVC fun house for the goby & shrimp. I also like how the rock is floating. Looks Great. Good luck getting any work done! I think A.D.D. would set in for me! lol
