I am trying to set up 2 of the maxspect gyre 350 pumps using the syna-G app. Our home wifi and my iPad and iPhone uses 5 GHz. The Syna-G controller uses 2.4 GHz. Is there a way to set up this controller on the 5 GHz frequency?

I am using a dual band Comcast router and I am not able to connect. I end up having to disconnect my phone from my home network and connect directly with the ICV6 controller to connect to my Gyres.

Welcome to 2.4ghz hell.

99% of automated devices, smart plugs, thermostats etc use legacy 2.4ghz.

Most modern routers and APs use both 2.4 and 5ghz, and do a mediocre job trying to band steer to 5ghz. ISP supplied routers with built in wifi are the worst.

If you're having trouble getting these devices to connect see if your router or AP allows you to set up a custom SSID with just 2 4ghz channel. Also use a 12 character or less password since some Zwave based devices have trouble with longer passwords. Typically this solves the issue 85% of the time. Even my $30 Tplink router can do this.

I went ahead and bought one of these for my gyre. I was not able to get it to connect to my router. Even set up the router to 2.4ghz without any luck. I am able to connect directly to my phone but a bit inconvenient. I only seem to be able to use the preset modes not the advanced.

anyone have any hints to get it to connect to my router?

I'm having the same problem. I have just contacted Maxspect and am waiting for a reply. If they dont have a fix, it will be kind of a waste of money. Today I did make some changes...took it off Lunar and made a custom cycle. Still waiting to see how I like the new settings. The app does make it easier, but I hate having to change back to my home network each time and hope I dont forget.
