synch my power heads ?

I recently discovered that my power heads can synch (with an added 30 dollar kit ) but its suppose to make waves in ur tank or a more.ocean flow. Right now both powrt heads are full blast into each other one slightly lower then the other to give a circular flow. Should i buy the kit.or.nah ?

It will make a nice gentle back and forth current which is not really necessary but may have some slight increase in polyp extensions. I personally believe it is overrated as Ive seen 100s of tanks with just 2 or 3 always on power heads thriving. Most coral do fine with random currents.
