Hey,
I have two mp10s but have not put the Wi-Fi chips in. Therefore I'm trying to set them up without reeflink what the heck. The tank is 50g with a arch live rock structure in the middle. I was planning on placing one on either end, close to the surface (2inches below). One towards the front of the tank and one towards the back ( so one is pushing water in front of the arch and the other along the back). I was wondering what mode we should set these on, and how to set them up to work in unison without directly linking them through reeflink??

Either long or short pulse mode if that is what you are trying to achieve. However, without the chips they wont work in unison. Getting them timed right might be tough but over time they will likely get outa sync.
FWIW, I would just run them on different programs to achieve a more random flow throughout the entire tank.

Guessing there is no way to link them via a cable? It seems a bit extra layout to get the Wi-Fi cards plus reeflink

Reef Crest is what I use but it is not a push and pull type program. I was under the impression you were trying to anti sync them giving you the wave style motion.

You need WiFi to sync modules. You do not need reeflink to sync them. They sync as master and slave thru their own WiFi.

I’d put them both on Reefcrest if your planning on SPS dominated. Or both on Lagoon if your planning LPS/Softies.

Thanks for all of your help! Is a softy's LPS tank, 200litres.

I'm guessing its best to have both controller units side by side, then turn one to lagoon / long pulse and one to reef crest at the same time. I think syncing them up to create a uniform wave will be very difficult. They are both about halfway down (vertically) the tank atm, with one towards the front and one towards the back so they are not directly opposing, and pushing water on each side of the central rock structure. I like the randomness of Reef crest, the variation in intensity should change where the turbulent flow is in the tank (when the reef crest is on lower power, the turbulent flow should be close to this unit. Then vise versa).

Both units are wifi compatible, but I have not installed the RF units into them to make them WIFI.
