Synergy overflow weir way too loud

I finally setup my tank with synergy overflow and the weir is really loud. I found out it was the weir and not the drains as I took off the teeth cover and it went from super loud to near silent. What can I do to fix this? Is my return flow just too strong for the weir to handle?

You need to adjust the height of your PVC elbows in the back. If you want it to be silent you have to find the sweet spot where your PVC elbows are the same height as the water level. Doing this will take some fine tuning of both the gate valve and the individual pipe heights. When the water level is high enough the sound of water falling or rushing through will quite down to a nearly silent whisper.
