Synergy reef overflow question

Can anyone tell me if I need to drill a hole in the top of the elbows on the primary and secondary drains?

If you’re using the Synergy Shadow overflow, it should come with two pre molded elbows that have holes drilled on them. However, a hole is only really necessary on the secondary drain elbow when setting up a proper beananimal.

Yes, it’s the shadow but neither one has holes already drilled . Thank you for the info.

Good to know. I guess they’ve changed the elbows included with the kit to non drilled ones. My early version came with drilled elbows.
