Hey guys,

I picked up a bunch of these 1mL sterile syringes off ebay. I mainly wanted them as replacements for my red sea cal and mag test kits but also would like to use them when i need to dose small amounts of stuff into the tank. When i got them i immediately realized that there is some kind of lubricant on the plungers. After digging around i found out that they commonly put silicone oil on these types of syringes to lubricate them. Will that interfere with the titration reagents when im testing cal or mag? Is it safe to use them to dose my tank?

Should be no issues. The material is inert.

Thanks guys, i figured theyd be fine fine for the reef. I wasnt sure if it would effect my testing though. Loading them up with an acidic reagent was my concern...
