T-5 Bulb Choice

I have 6 T-5 fixtures and a pair of moon lights. I'm not even sure what the bulb configuration is. I do know that the middle pair is the actinic and the 2 back and 2 front are the daylights. I bought this setup 2 months ago and really haven't done a thing. Any bulb recommendations you guys have for this setup.

12:00am the middle 2 lamps come on then around 2pm the daylight front pair of bulbs and back 2 bulbs come on. then at 10pm daylights off and around 11pm middle off.

Id go with 4 ATI blue+, 1 Purple +, and 1 Aqua blue

I have 3 blue plus, 2 aquablue specials, 1 purple plus.

Put the blue plus on one switch and the rest configure to your taste... I can't say anything about the coral plus as I haven't tried them. I think the color temp is higher on it tho. But ATI all the way...

Front to back for me is...

Purple plus

Consider the coral plus over the AB special, that bulb will sometimes wash out colors.

I have messed around with a few different lamp configurations over the last 5 years or so. Honestly my best growth and color used a mix of stuff which is not the norm for what people recommend anymore.

I have tried the purple lamps twice and never seemed to like them.

I tried a mix of just Blue+ and AquaBlue Special ATI lamps and the color hasn't been the same.

I have a 6 lamp system ight now and am in the process of making an order from BRS (get the lamps back in stock dangit), but here's what I am doing this time around (I swapped into your switch config though):

Front -> Back
ATI BluePlus
ATI AquaBlue Special
ATI BluePlus
UVL Super Actinic or Geissmann True Actinic
UVL AquaSun (maybe GE 6500)
ATI Blue Plus

Just my $.02 on this one...

What's the color equal to on the uvl's in comparison to the ATI's?

These are the two spectrum pics from BRS for the two. Basically they are close with just a little shift. I used a 4 bulb when I started with basically one of each that I listed and it had the best colors I have ever had. I switched lamps a few different times to try out the "latest and greatest" according to many people and just didn't like the results as much. I don't know if this will do any different this time around, but I am giving it another shot.

I just switched to t5, I have 4 blue plus, 1 purple plus, 1 aquablue. Im loving the combo, but the bulbs are almost 9 months and i've heard the aquablue washes out colors. When I do my next bulb order i'm going with 4 blue plus, 1 purple plus and either 1 coral plus, 1 ge 6500k, or 1 aquablue. Im going to order all of them and see which I like best.

It would be so much better if we could see pics but cameras really don't show what people see in person. And it depends on the corals too. I like some yellow,red and purple in my tank but don't want to get rid of the fluorescent green,orange and such so I will have to buy the bulbs and see for myself. Maybe all that blue ain't that bad
