T-5 bulbs 22k + fiji purple question

Where does everyone get their aquascience 22k and fiji purple bulbs at?

My actinic combo is 4 bulbs i have 4- actinic 03 bulbs on there now but want to replace some. Im thinking just replacing 2 bulbs 1-22k and 1 fiji purple... what you guys think? I never tried any of these bulbs before.

I got a ATI Powermodule and run 4 Blue+,1 fiji purple,and 1 aquablue special.I would run 2 blue+,1 fiji purple, and 1 aquablue special but it really depends on what kind of look your after.

Nope I believe they are the same color temp if I am not mistaken..

Check out this site it might help you out allittle, shows par readings on most bulbs and all that good stuff..

The aquablue special is a 12k and is more for growth and the blue+ is also a 22k just like the aquascience and I beleive has one of the highest rated blue bulb pars,the 4 bulb combo I gave you above will definitely give you the pop your looking for.

Ohh gotcha! Yeah i just want a deep blue look to it, i already have 2- radiums on there

What about the fiji purple? What exactly is that bulb for?

Fiji purple is to bring out the Pink, Red and the Purples, but its a very strong bulb and washes out alot of the blue, atleast on my fixture it did...

I recently switched out my fiji for UVL Super Actinic and so far so good!

I thought the same also when I first installed my fiji purple but then I put it in the middle of 2 blue+ and it turned out pretty good.My bulb configuration from front to back is as follows:blue+,blue+,fiji purple+,blue+,blue+,aquablue special it gives me a nice crispy blue 20k look IMO.It really makes my corals "pop".

I use 5 Blue+ and one fiji IMO best combo out there nice cool blue look fiji brings out pinks/reds/purple and the Blue + has GREAT par and is blue. I love mine and would suggest it to any one.

I would get rid of the Actinic 03... I bought mine to test it out with but don't really like it... it doesn't have too much PAR as well... for your 4 bulb set up, I would recommend:

Blue +
Fiji Purple
Blue +
Blue Special

or if you want it on the bluer side
Blue +
Fiji Purple
Blue +
Blue +

I had the bottom set up on my old 4 bulb set up and it worked out great... but after a while, it was just too blue for me so I replaced one with a Blue Special and liked it better...
