Just wondering if it's worth suplementing 2 bulb t-5 fixture over my 75 that lighted with two kessil A360W. What bulbs do you guys recommend, If anything i would go with ATI bulb. Let me know what you guys think

yeah but won't adding this be over kill with lighting?? My kessils have a lot of blue spectrum in them..

Not with 2 bulbs. The main thing that will happen is color spectrum and filling in shadows created by the focused light of LEDs. I have 4 bulbs, 3x Blue+ and 1x Purple+, with my Aquatic Life XS series LEDs and they look great together. JME

Cool got a 2 bulb fixture i am picking up on trade, think I will go with ATI true atinic, and one ATI blue plus...sound good?

Agree. Good choice. No matter what you run, filling out the tanks footprint with t5ho supplements is ALWAYS a good idea and NEVER overkill.

I did the same as @Macdaddynick1 , the photon is an awesome light but adding supplemental T5's to it brings out an entirely new dimension to the tank. @slayerhellfire , you can run it more than 3 hours a day. I started supplemental T5's at 6 hours a day. Since you have an apex to control it, I'd bring em online once your Kessils are past morning sunrise and keep em on until your Kessils are winding the day down.

I have an ATI coral + and blue + as a supplement to 2 kessil 160's. They come on when the kessil's peak at 11 and stay on until the kessil's start to ramp down at 5, kessil's go off at 9.

So this is what I did, right now there is only 2 blue plus bulbs, ordered 2 true atinics. You think this will benefit my corals?

Sure, it will definitely help. Actinics may not help much, they don't provide a lot of intensity, but anything that provides a wide spectrum of light at the right intensity is going to help.

I tend to disagree that actinics are useless. They pump the same amount of wattage as any other bulb, but 98% of that is in a nearly unreadable spectrum by a cheap par meter standard (apogee), yet that same range is vitally important for chlorophyll A&b. To say actinics are useless is the same as saying 420 nm diodes in an led fixture are useless. But people are all fairly unified in the belief that they're vital.

I actually read the same thing, the ATI true actinic has some interesting readings, there was a really great video that expelling all the ATI bulbs
