trying to price out a stand for a nano Im 25 lagoon 24x20x12 and maybe my 36" x24 x24 90 with T slot tubing. just playing around with ideas at this point.

I know the hardware is where the cost adds up. so I am trying to be smart about it. not over build it and under build it.

so for the nano weighting in around 200- 225# wet what corner supports should I go with?
any T slot gurus out there?

I will be using 10 series T slot. FYI

also open to other stand ideas.

Not for nothing I don’t think anyone here might know the shear strength or bolt options as a manufacturer that stakes their livelihood in it might.

I would highly consider hitting up a manufacturer of those stands and get their opinion. I used framingtech for my stand and Anthony was great to work with.

Double Anchor Fasteners will be the strongest (the APS stand uses a single anchor fastener)

These require machining and will drive the price even further.

Just look at their university on their website. You’ll be able to figure it out on your own.

Or just buy the APS stand....

Or.... use the same design and connectors the APS stand uses.

haha I might do that the big problem with the APD is no shelf maybe its just me but if I am spending that $$ i want to love it. so just shopping for options. going from everything form DIY plywood to steel welded to other crazy ideas :D
sometime you goota think out side the box you know.

yeah I was looking at a YT video about them. I believe its only another $1.50 per piece for a double tap. so 10X 1.50 not to bad if I am understanding it correct.

haha OMG yes...
but I have time for the next 2 weeks to "get it right" I just want a stand I love that I can afford. my last DIY for the 90 is OK does the job. but GF says it has to be "nice" if I am gonna get another tank. soooo here I am. :P

Sounds about right.
The stand will also be silver unless you anodize it for extra.
If you prefer the silver then it’s no biggie. I personally would prefer the black on the APS stand over the silver.

A powder coated steel stand will be cheaper than this. But it will not be modular.

Find a local woodworker to build you a decent stand (not a 2x4 one)
It’ll probably be cheaper than most of these options.

I called a welder they quoted me $250-$300 for a 24"x20"x20" stand. left a msg with another about 45mim away wonder what the price difference will be.

I am curious how much the T slot will come to once I have a idea on features and total of each stand idea I think I will have a clean winner!

I dont know man I live in a resort town...everything is $$$
but not a bad Idea i'll check.

If your in a resort town, then Craigslist or similar should have decent furniture for sale.
You might be able to find a quality cabinet or night stand that will work as well.

How much will the 80/20 stand be?
not sure have not yet priced it all out.
