T to return to the fuge, will it work?

I need to split the return line from the Pump -> Tank to the refugium.

Will it work like this?


Or the plumbing before T split must be bigger (like 1 inch)?

That's how I do mine but you're going to want to plumb a valve on the horizontal portion to control the water flow going back to the tank. Close it until the tank level stabilizes at the level you want in the tank.
