I currently run a fixture with (2) 250watt 14 k MH bulbs run in conjunction with (2) 48 inch T5's with ATI Blue plus bulbs and 2 all blue LED strips. In my tank there is primarily going to be LPS. I have acans, some welso's, scoly's etc. I wanted to get some chalice and other things but I'm wondering if the 14k MH's are too bright for what I want to do? Would I benefit from running a 18k or 20k bulb set. If so would I sacrifice any growth or coloration? Thanks for the input.

Your fine with the 14k, thats the best kelvin range in halides for growth.

You will need to be careful to not place the light too close or vice versa corals too close for some of the corals that don't like bright light.
