I am upgrading my tank to a 50g. However, my LED light is 24.5" long, and the 50 is 48". The light's perfect for my 20 high but I'm thinking it won't quite reach far enough for the 50. I have a single 48" T5 (at least, I HOPE it's a T5) so I was thinking about using that as well with a KZ Fiji Purple bulb. I could put some SPS in the higher-light areas and LPS/Softies/NPS in the lower light. What do you guys think?

Id just get another LED unit for coverage. Although I don't know quite what you have now. Are the LEDs at least 1 watt? Whats the total wattage of the unit?

Yea, nice. Just get another unit for the other side, should do good.

"Just" is the wrong word when you have $200 a month spending money, period, for fish stuff, etc XD.

So unless they have a steep discount at the October expo, I guess I'm only lighting one side for a month or two.

Yea, I hear that. Move it over and like you said, get as much coverage as you can.
